Grant Project: GeneSTEPS: a prospective evaluation of the impact of early genetic diagnosis on outcomes in paediatric epilepsy
Epilepsy is the most common brain disease affecting Canadian children. When the seizures start before a first birthday, there can be severe and lasting consequences. Our goal is to apply cutting-edge technologies to rapidly diagnose these babies and then personalize their care. Results from this study will advance our understanding of epilepsy in children. The findings promise to help translate new genetic technologies into the clinic.
