Epilepsy Canada recently moved its offices from Montreal to Toronto. This was done as a cost saving measure. The current fiscal environment is a difficult one for non-governmental health care organizations such as Epilepsy Canada. To ensure our continuing capacity to fulfill our obligations, we elected to save money by relocating our office. Currently, we are sharing space with Epilepsy Ontario. Because of this move, Epilepsy Canada is alive and functioning with a vibrant board of directors. We continue to raise funds to support much-needed research. We thank you for your interest and continued support. Should I Renew My Membership to Epilepsy Canada? Yes, of course, you should! Epilepsy is a disorder affecting 1.3% of Canadians. There is a dire need for continuing research into the causes and treatment of epilepsy. Epilepsy Canada remains the only organization in Canada dedicated to the support of epilepsy-focused research initiatives. By renewing your membership in Epilepsy Canada you are renewing your commitment to supporting research on epilepsy in Canada. This is important …. Very important. Donald F.
